We are currently seeking dependable and detail-oriented Floor Technicians to support with floor care services across multiple commercial facilities in the Greater Orlando area as well as outside of the Orlando region. This is a hands-on role focused on supporting floor maintenance operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in floor care processes such as stripping, sealing, waxing, and machine scrubbing, and take pride in delivering high-quality results with consistency and care. This position requires someone who can work as part of a team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and occasional daytime hours as needed to complete post-construction cleaning projects and other special assignments. Work hours will vary based on project demands and operational needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in performing floor care services including:
- Stripping, waxing, sealing, and refinishing hard floors
- Machine scrubbing
- High-speed burnishing and buffing
- Routine mopping and maintenance of floors
- Perform occasional carpet care services and spot treatment
- Assist with upholstery cleaning as needed
- Prepare work areas by moving furniture and resetting spaces after completion
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of office areas, restrooms, hallways, and common areas while performing floor work
- Safely operate and maintain floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, extractors, vacuums, etc.)
- Follow proper chemical handling and dilution procedures according to manufacturer and company guidelines
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Identify and report floor damage, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to your immediate supervisor lead
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Previous experience in commercial floor care preferred (stripping, waxing, burnishing, carpet cleaning, etc.)
- Knowledge of floor types (VCT, tile, carpet, etc.) and appropriate care methods
- Ability to operate floor care machinery safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Good time management and ability to complete tasks efficiently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or move equipment and furniture
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and physically demanding tasks
WORK EXPECTATIONS
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines at all times
- Wear proper PPE and adhere to company dress code
- Maintain equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly
- Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner at all job sites
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Be dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling needs
- Perform other duties or tasks as directed by management
You must be eligible to work in the United States and furnish a valid Florida Driver’s License and Social Security Card if you are selected for the position.
Upon hire, candidates will be required to complete two paid training assessments consisting of reading and written tests. Candidates will be compensated for the time spent completing these assessments. Successful completion of both assessments is required before beginning onsite training
