We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our field operations team and assist in the successful delivery of an active ground-up multifamily project in Lakeland. Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent will work directly with the Project Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day field operations of an active ground-up multifamily community. This position plays a critical role in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing quality and safety standards, and ensuring construction is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent with the daily management of all on-site construction activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections to maintain project schedules.
- Monitor daily construction progress and identify potential schedule impacts.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes of work.
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets CEM standards and project specifications.
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations and maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
- Coordinate inspections with local municipalities and third-party inspectors.
- Assist in scheduling and sequencing subcontractor work to maximize productivity.
- Maintain daily reports, progress photos, and field documentation using Procore.
- Coordinate material deliveries and verify quantities and quality.
- Assist with punch list completion, turnover, and project closeout.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and ownership representatives.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, or similar field leadership role.
- Ground-up multifamily construction experience required.
- Experience with wood-frame multifamily construction preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP plans.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and trade coordination.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction best practices.
- Experience with Autodesk, Procore, Microsoft Office, and project management software preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 10 Certification required (OSHA 30 preferred).

Work Location

This position is based out of our Lakeland office and will primarily support an active multifamily construction project in Lakeland, with opportunities to assist on future projects throughout Central Florida as the company continues to grow.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
