Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to join The Gelatist. In this role, you will be responsible for creating beautiful, delicious baked goods and confections, ensuring each product meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise in cake decorating, food preparation, and pastry techniques will be essential in delighting our customers and elevating our brand. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and desserts, in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and confections with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to produce visually stunning products
- Manage food packaging processes to ensure freshness, safety, and attractive presentation for retail or catering orders
- Assist with food production tasks such as mixing, baking, slicing, and assembling ingredients efficiently
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, cleaning workstations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by sharing product knowledge and addressing customer inquiries
Skills
- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a food production or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and ingredient preparation
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools effectively
- Familiarity with food packaging techniques to maintain quality during storage or transport
- Experience in catering or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Exceptional customer service skills with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
- Must carry some baking experience 1 year or more.
