1.0 JOB DESCRIPTION
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring all shift personnel and equipment in order to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective production processes. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with supervisors on other shifts to ensure all workflow runs smoothly.
2.0 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for ensuring/promoting safety within the facility.
- Schedule, monitor, coach, and discipline employees as needed.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process.
- Complete other related duties and projects as required by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results of the process flow on shift production summaries.
- Enforce organization standards and codes of conduct.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Responsible for training of personnel under their supervision.
- Responsible for ensuring all quality standards within their department are upheld.
3.0 COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Production, Supply Chain or Business-related field preferred
- 3-5 years supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing systems and concepts
- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
- Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
- Organizational skills involved with process flow.
- Experience with unions preferred.
4.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervises operations employees.
5.0 WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a hands-on position and will work both in an office and factory setting. Factory requires use of PPE (Safety Glasses / Safety Shoes / earplugs) and environmental conditions vary. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration as it is necessary to walk the shop floor.
6.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Lift up to 50 pounds. Use of proper PPE is required including hearing protection
7.0 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, during normal business hours. Hours of work may vary based on business needs.
8.0 TRAVEL
Infrequent, however, employee may need to travel occasionally to pick up parts, view new machinery, visit other locations, etc.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
