Bangerville is looking for a Concert Photographer who knows how to tell the story of a live show without getting in the way of it. We’re interested in more than technically perfect photos. We want someone who can catch the moments people remember, the energy between an artist and the crowd, a quiet second between songs, or the one frame that sums up an entire performance.
Most assignments will involve live concerts and music events, so evenings and weekends are a normal part of the job.
What You'll Be Doing
- Photograph concerts, performances, festivals, and other live-music events assigned by the editorial team.
- Capture both artist performances and the atmosphere surrounding each show.
- Work comfortably in changing stage lighting, crowded venues, photo pits, and fast-moving environments.
- Select and edit the strongest images after each assignment while keeping turnaround times reasonable.
- Prepare properly sized and edited images for articles, galleries, social media, and other digital use.
- Coordinate with writers and editors so photography fits the story being published.
- Maintain accurate artist, venue, event, and photo information when submitting finished work.
- Represent Bangerville professionally when working with venues, artists, publicists, and event staff.
- Take care of camera equipment and arrive prepared with the appropriate gear for each assignment.
What We're Looking For
- A strong portfolio showing live music, events, entertainment, or similar photography.
- Confident shooting in low light without relying on ideal conditions.
- Good understanding of exposure, composition, lenses, shutter speed, and changing concert lighting.
- Experience with professional photo-editing software.
- Able to work independently and make quick decisions while a performance is happening.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to assigned venues when necessary.
- Comfortable working nights and weekends based on concert schedules.
- Knowledge of the local music scene and established venue etiquette is a plus.
