D.D.S. Mechanical Plumbing & Heating Corp. is a Whitestone, Queens-based commercial plumbing, heating, fire suppression, and mechanical contracting services across NYC and the surrounding area. Position Summary
The Project Manager will oversee multiple plumbing/mechanical construction projects, primarily new construction residential projects throughout NYC, with some work in Nassau, Westchester, and Yonkers. This role is responsible for coordinating field staff, managing schedules and budgets, supporting inspections and permits, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring work progresses efficiently from pre-construction through closeout.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage multiple specialty trade construction projects at various stages.
- Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, assistant project managers, subcontractors, vendors, utility agencies, and clients.
- Review drawings, specifications, scope of work, buyout documents, revisions, RFIs, and change order needs.
- Create and maintain schedules, including two-week look-ahead schedules and project-specific task schedules.
- Oversee project filing, permits, DOB inspections, master inspection sheets, and closeout documentation.
- Monitor job costs, budgets, subcontractor progress, vendor releases, and project billing support.
- Attend client project meetings and conduct regular jobsite walks.
- Maintain organized project documentation in Procore.
- Support quality control, punch lists, warranties, O&M manuals, attic stock, and final project closeout.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5–10 years of construction project management experience with relevant project experience.
- Strong understanding of how construction projects move from pre-construction through closeout.
- Ability to manage schedules, budgets, field coordination, documentation, inspections, and client communication.
- Ability to travel to jobsites throughout NYC and surrounding areas.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction technology; Procore experience preferred.
- Mechanical/plumbing experience strongly preferred.
- Construction-related degree is a plus but not required.
Work Location
In-person role based out of Whitestone, Queens, with regular travel to jobsites throughout the five boroughs and occasional travel to Nassau, Westchester, and Yonkers (Approximately 25-35% of the time).
Work Hours/Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch.
Pay
$120,000–$150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
