Employment: Full-Time
Location: Lafayette, IN
As the sun comes up over the plant, you review a mix of work orders: a critical spare for a production line, a small batch of consumable tooling the operators will use all week, and a repair part that will get maintenance out of a jam. You pull the print, verify ISO and ASME Y14.5 tolerances, and choose the right tools. Before first break, you’ve turned a replacement shaft on a manual lathe, hit a tight tolerance on the mill, and documented each step. After lunch, you move to a CNC, tweak G- and M-code, run a first-article inspection with micrometers and indicators, and collaborate with maintenance to troubleshoot a hydraulic component up on a mezzanine. You wrap the day by restoring a spotless 5S workspace and logging improvement ideas with the team.
