Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all requests are clearly communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work station, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Upsell menu items by recommending popular dishes, drinks, or specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, responding promptly to requests for refills, additional condiments, or special accommodations.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Assist with opening or closing duties such as setting up stations, cleaning work areas, and processing cash or credit card transactions accurately.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience in food service or hospitality is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations through friendly interaction and attentive service.
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices is essential for maintaining a safe environment.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate billing.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation and presentation standards.
