Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support children with daily routines such as snack time, diapering or potty training, and nap schedules
- Engage children in educational activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning through play
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure a secure setting for every child
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to respond promptly to emergencies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise multiple children effectively
- Excellent communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow guidance from lead teachers
