Overview
We are seeking a skilled Chemical Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various materials and operating equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Operate and monitor chemical manufacturing equipment
- Climbing stairs, tank ladders, loading racks
- Work outdoor in all weather conditions 20 – 50% of the time
- Wear and SCBA for certain tasks (Clean shaven for SCBA fit - 30 minutes at a time)
- Follow standard operating procedures for production process
- Perform quality control checks in a laboratory setting
- Adhere to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines
- Assist in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency
- Package and fabricate chemical products as required
- Manage inventory in the warehouse
- Computer experience (Windows, Word, Excel)
- Operate forklifts for material handling
- Be familiar with basic tools – pipe wrench, screw driver, etc.
- Be able to work various shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Training requires rotating through these shifts at 6 month intervals. Once fully trained, you will be on a set shift.
Skills
- Experience in materials handling within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
- Familiarity with CGMP standards is a plus
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to package and fabricate products accurately
- Proficiency in warehouse operations and inventory management
- Experience operating forklifts for material transport
- Basic machining skills would be beneficial
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $24.44 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
