Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and overall well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide specialized care for patients requiring tube feeding, catheter care, and dementia care.
- Conduct venipuncture for blood draws and other necessary laboratory tests.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition, ensuring timely interventions.
- Uphold basic life support protocols in emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience or training in hospice palliative medicine, geriatrics, trauma medicine, or ophthalmology is preferred.
- Proficient in tube feeding techniques and catheter management.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care practices.
- Ability to perform venipuncture with accuracy and confidence.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and support.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
