IT Support Specialist
Cascadia Pharmacy Group
Salary: $47,000–$55,000 annually plus benefits
Reports to: IT Director
Location: Southern Oregon or Western Washington
The Opportunity
Cascadia Pharmacy Group is scaling fast. With 60+ pharmacies across our network, we're building something substantial. We need an IT Support Specialist who can grow with us.
This isn't a typical entry-level help desk role where you're siloed and forgotten. You'll work side-by-side with our IT Director, Quinton, as his operational right hand. You’ll be a partner who can absorb the day-to-day execution so he can focus on strategic infrastructure projects.
The ~20% regional travel offers accelerated field experience. While your peers in desk-bound support roles spend years waiting to touch real infrastructure, you'll be deploying hardware and building relationships across pharmacy locations.
What You'll Own
Core Technical Support
- First-response ticket management via Atera: printer failures, Dell hardware issues, password resets, network connectivity, power diagnostics
- Windows 10/11 desktop support
- Hardware deployment and troubleshooting across 60+ pharmacy locations
- Routine monitoring and proactive maintenance to prevent issues before they escalate
- Remote support using RMM tools and remote desktop technologies
- Basic networking: Firewall, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP troubleshooting
Process & Documentation
- Build the documentation and protocols that future team members will follow
- Establish ticket response workflows and communication standards
Communication & Coordination
- Provide professional, patient support to non-technical pharmacy staff—translating technical issues into clear, actionable guidance
- Own follow-through: every ticket gets a response, every issue gets closure; no one wonders if their problem is being handled
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Director with clear documentation and context
Required Qualifications
Technical Foundation
- Trade school certification in IT, computer science, or related field (or 1+ year help desk/IT support experience)
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, and hardware troubleshooting
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regional travel (~20%)
- Ability to lift and transport IT equipment up to 70 lbs
Preferred Certifications & Experience
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
- Experience with ticketing systems (Atera, ServiceNow, ConnectWise)
- Healthcare or pharmacy IT experience (HIPAA familiarity a plus)
- Previous experience creating documentation or SOPs
How You Work
We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- You take initiative. You can work with incomplete information, ask good questions, and keep projects moving.
- You follow through. You keep track of details, follow up on open items, and help ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- You work independently. You manage your time well, make sound decisions, and communicate clearly.
- You communicate professionally. You're comfortable collaborating with people across different teams and technical experience levels.
- You value organization and accuracy. You enjoy creating structure and improving how work gets done.
