Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical coding standards.
- Demonstrated ability in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments and managing patient care efficiently.
- Familiarity with dental imaging techniques, and documentation review processes.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
