Markets Overseen: All Team Mobile markets — Tennessee and Georgia

Schedule: Full-time; on-call availability required, including nights/weekends during high-volume or emergency events

Team Mobile is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and results-driven Director of System Status Management to lead the coordination and optimization of our ambulance and medical transportation operations. This leadership role is ideal for someone who understands EMS operations, dispatch, resource deployment, and the importance of getting the right unit to the right place at the right time.

Primary Objective
This role is directly accountable for improving customer-facing ETAs and reducing lost/missed calls across all Team Mobile markets, in a competitive landscape where response speed is an increasing differentiator.
Reporting Structure & Direct Reports
- Reports to: CEO
- Direct reports: Dispatch team, including the Dispatch Supervisor and all Dispatchers, across all markets.
- Partners closely with the state Directors of Operations (Tennessee and Georgia) on staffing, fleet, and market-level coverage decisions that affect system status.
What You'll Do
- Lead and continuously improve the organization's System Status Management strategy.
- Directly manage and develop the Dispatch team, setting clear performance expectations and accountability standards.
- Oversee ambulance deployment, system coverage, resource allocation, and operational readiness.
- Monitor call volume, response times, unit availability, transport demand, and staffing levels.
- Work closely with Dispatch and field leadership to maintain appropriate coverage across service areas.
- Identify coverage gaps and quickly coordinate operational solutions.
- Analyze historical and real-time operational data to improve deployment strategies.
- Own and report on key performance indicators including response times, unit utilization, on-time performance, delayed transport, overtime, and staffing efficiency.
- Own ETA performance and lost/missed call rate as primary success metrics; report trends and improvement plans to executive leadership on a regular cadence.
- Partner with EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, operational leaders, and healthcare partners to improve service delivery.
- Provide leadership during periods of high call volume, staffing shortages, emergencies, and significant operational events.
- Develop processes that improve efficiency, accountability, communication, and patient service.
- Prepare operational reports and recommendations for executive leadership.
- Support employee development and establish clear performance expectations for assigned teams.
- Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, compassion, and exceptional service.
- Coordinate with Operations leadership on fleet availability and vehicle replacement planning as it affects deployment capacity.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Emergency Medical Services, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive EMS, ambulance, medical transportation, dispatch, or healthcare operations experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of ambulance deployment, dispatch operations, resource management, and system status concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data and translate findings into actionable improvements.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with dispatch technology (Traumasoft or comparable CAD platform), GIS tools, reporting systems, Microsoft Office, and operational performance tools.
- Experience overseeing multi-state or multi-market EMS operations strongly preferred, given this role's scope across Tennessee and Georgia markets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or previous EMT or Paramedic certification/licensure.
- Experience managing multi-location or regional EMS operations.
- Experience with System Status Management, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), workforce scheduling, and EMS performance analytics.
- Experience supporting behavioral health or specialized patient transportation operations.

Success in the First 6 Months
The following will be used to evaluate early success in this role:
- Completion of a baseline assessment of current ETA and lost/missed call performance across all markets, with an improvement plan presented to executive leadership.
- Established reporting cadence for system status KPIs to executive leadership.
- Clear integration of the Dispatch team under this role, with defined performance expectations in place.
