Position Summary
Right There is a place where we do food differently. We provide fresh, delicious hot food, early and often to our customers 365 days a year. As a cook at Right There, you will be key in learning our unique recipes, working in a modern kitchen at a fast pace, keeping all our great food hot and ready to go.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook food items such fried chicken, homemade and frozen sides, burgers, food prep, etc using our custom formulations and methods.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food items meet quality standards for taste, temperature, and presentation before serving.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food and equipment. Ensure compliance with local health department requirements.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to take food orders, provide recommendations, and address any food-related concerns. Ensure a positive and friendly experience for customers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and safe to use. Report any malfunctions or needed repairs to management.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of food preparation, inventory usage, and employee performance when required.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- At least 2-3 years of experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in a fast-food, convenience store, quick serve restaurant or similar environment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle customer complaints and ensure satisfaction.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Consistency in attendance, on time is vital.
- Ability to occasionally work on the weekends.
Working Conditions
Physical Requirements: The job requires standing for long periods, lifting items, and moving around the store.
