Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure precision machining and high-quality production standards are met consistently. Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines such as milling machines, lathes, and other automated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to accurately produce parts within specified tolerances.
- Program CNC machinery using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust programs as needed for precision machining.
- Conduct precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions according to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime, utilizing mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards in production environments.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling to ensure consistent quality and operational efficiency.
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and fabrication drawings accurately for machining operations.
- Handle materials safely using appropriate materials handling techniques and tools such as forklifts when necessary.
- Support quality control processes by inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar industrial equipment in a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages like Fanuc or similar control systems.
- Familiarity with CAM programming software for creating tool paths and machine code.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, shop math, and technical drawing interpretation.
- Experience working with various tooling including press brake machines, stamping presses, welding equipment, and fabrication tools is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on complex machinery efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
- Basic shop math skills essential for calculating dimensions and tolerances accurately.
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience demonstrating adherence to safety standards in production environments is highly desirable.
