Quality Technician (Night Shift)
Pride Health / Russell Tobin is supporting a leading global beverage and consumer goods organization with a contract opportunity for a Quality Technician (Night Shift) in Plainfield, IL.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide quality leadership and support to production teams during assigned shifts.
- Perform microbiological testing on water, distilled products, and raw ingredients in accordance with company protocols.
- Conduct analytical testing on in-process products, finished goods, and ingredients to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Perform sensory evaluations of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
- Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with Global Risk Management and North American quality standards.
- Inspect incoming raw materials to verify conformance with established quality specifications.
- Identify, investigate, and support resolution of non-conforming materials and products.
- Assist with calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repair of laboratory testing equipment.
- Document testing results, equipment maintenance, and laboratory procedures accurately.
- Collaborate with production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support continuous production.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support achievement of departmental quality objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of experience in a laboratory and/or manufacturing quality environment.
- Prior experience supporting on-site production or processing operations is required.
- Experience handling non-conforming materials/products is required.
- Background in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, Life Sciences, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Experience performing microbiological testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as HPLC, spectrophotometers, Alcolyzers, or similar analytical instruments is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as part of daily job responsibilities.
Important Details:
- Employment Type: 06 months Contract (Extension possible based on performance)
- Location: Plainfield, IL (100% Onsite)
- Work Schedule:
- Training: First week, Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Post Training: Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- Rotating schedule:
- Week 1 (Long Week): Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2 (Short Week): Wednesday, Thursday
- Candidates must be flexible to work 40+ hours and weekends as required.
- Approved Pay Range: $23 - $25/hr on W2
- Industry Preference: Chemistry, Microbiology, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, or related laboratory environments.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
