Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care by assisting physicians and nursing staff in the examination and treatment of patients. Taking vitals, gathering medical information from the patient and entering of data into the EMR system.
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as maintaining medical records and handling insurance forms and handling telephone calls from patients.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Provide patient care including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Proficient in medical terminology and administrative tasks.
- Experience with medication administration.
- Familiarity with X-Ray procedures and equipment.
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare providers.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
