Daniel’s Ft. Lauderdale is seeking an experienced, polished, and guest-focused Dining Room Host. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a luxury hospitality environment, leads with warmth and confidence, and understands that lasting first impressions set the tone for the entire guest experience.
Position Overview
The Dining Room Host oversees the reservations system and front-of-house greeting team, ensuring seamless service, efficient table management, and exceptional guest experiences from the moment the phone rings to the final farewell.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all restaurant reservations using Resy (or similar system), including VIPs, large parties, and special requests
- Greet guests with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail
- Anticipate the guests needs and reflects the establishments standard of excellence
- Maintain accurate wait times and ensure smooth table turns
- Coordinate closely with management, service staff, and the kitchen to optimize seating flow
- Handle guest inquiries, special occasions, and concerns with grace and discretion
- Maintain reservation notes, guest preferences, and floor plans
- Uphold Daniel’s brand standards for luxury service and hospitality
- Maintain poise and composure in a fast paced environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience as a host, reservations manager, or similar front-of-house role in an upscale or fine-dining restaurant
- Strong knowledge of reservation platforms (Resy preferred)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Calm, organized, and professional under pressure
- Polished appearance and confident, welcoming demeanor
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
