Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on residential and commercial construction projects, be comfortable using hand and power tools, and be able to read and interpret blueprints. This role requires someone who is organized, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple trades on the job site.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of residential and commercial construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools.
- Load, unload, move, organize, and stage construction materials.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other skilled trades as needed.
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to project plans.
- Perform demolition, site preparation, and cleanup.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous construction labor experience required.
- Experience using common construction hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely move and organize construction materials throughout the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with framing, drywall, finish carpentry.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred but not required).
- Valid driver's license.
