KEY ACCOUNT SPECIALIST
JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Key Account Specialist reports directly to the Inside Sales Supervisor.
SCHEDULE
- Normal business hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
- May need to support limited hours on Sundays as needed (3 hours max) rotating schedule
and rotating holidays TBD by shipping schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primarily an in-office role (75%) with 25% customer-facing responsibilities, including
supporting sales, attending customer and industry events, participating in regular sales
training sessions, monthly sales meetings, and off-site customer meetings, while actively
engaging in sales initiatives.
- Manage the customer order process, scheduling of deliveries, and identifying customer
opportunities.
- Support and maintain specific sales territories, sales employees, customers, and contract
entities.
- Partner with internal departments to support and grow customer relationships and ensure
contract terms and service expectations are met.
- Proactively identify growth opportunities and business penetration and establish and
maintain positive customer relationships.
- Respond timely to customer and outside sales inquiries regarding sales, products or
services required for individual customers, and follow through to assure those inquiries
are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Must be well organized, work at a level of high accuracy, and possess a sense of urgency
when dealing with customer needs and requests.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned using business intelligent tools
and resources.
- Required to support other company initiatives and tasks when directed.
