Responsibilities
● Assist veterinarians with examinations and treatments
● Perform patient assessments and obtain medical histories
● Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
● Collect and process laboratory samples
● Take and position radiographs
● Administer medications and treatments
● Fill medical prescriptions
● Educate clients regarding preventive care and treatment plans
● Maintain accurate medical records
● Assist with patient restraint and handling
Qualifications
● Current LVT, RVT, or CVT license
● Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and focusing on tasks with multiple distractions present.
● Surgical and anesthesia experience preferred but not required
● Positive attitude and commitment to excellent patient care
● Working knowledge of major animal species as well as frequently used pharmaceuticals
Pay: $15.00 - $27.95 per hour
