Summary Description
The customer service representative is responsible for handling customer’s requests received via phone (primarily), email, letter or fax in a professional and timely manner. The representative works directly with our accounting, sales, and shipping departments to provide the necessary information to assist customers.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming calls in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Enter orders received from customers via telephone and fax, ensuring all information is accurate.
- Enter credit memos and process returns accurately and timely.
- Troubleshoot shipping/account issues.
- Issue mailings to customers and update customer records as needed.
- Maintain backordered release and reporting process.
- Contact customers when needed to resolve discrepancies, provide requested information, etc.
- Perform data entry tasks such as entering new accounts in our system and processing address changes.
Skills, Education, and Experience
- Excellent data entry skills
- Ability to use 10-key keyboard and type minimum of 30 WPM
- High School Diploma
- Must have up to 3 to 5 years of customer service experience in a call center.
- Excellent communication skills.
