About the Role
Vertex Healthcare Partners is a healthcare investment platform focused on acquiring and operating businesses across behavioral health, assisted living, home care, and specialty healthcare.
We operate in a lean, fast-paced environment where attention to detail, follow-through, and ownership matter. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Partner and serve as a key point of contact for brokers, business owners, lenders, vendors, and other external partners. You’ll also take ownership of the systems and processes that keep the firm’s day-to-day operations organized and moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with brokers, business owners, and operators by phone and email to introduce the firm, establish relationships, and gather preliminary information
- Maintain consistent follow-up and accurately document all communications and touchpoints
- Draft, proofread, and send professional correspondence on behalf of the Partner
- Manage the Partner’s inbox, calendar, meetings, and scheduling
- Prepare, organize, and maintain documents, agreements, and due diligence materials
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and outstanding items across multiple active transactions and workstreams
- Coordinate with external accountants, attorneys, lenders, and other professionals to collect documents and ensure outstanding items are completed
- Develop, maintain, and improve internal checklists, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Keep company files, records, databases, and trackers accurate, organized, and up to date
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in an executive assistant, operations, administrative, or similar role
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to write polished professional emails and communicate confidently with business owners and other professionals
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Comfortable learning and adopting new software and systems quickly
- Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential financial and business information
- Self-motivated and proactive—you take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion without constant follow-up
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Position Details
- Location: Brooklyn, NY
- Schedule: Full-time, in-office
- Hours: Monday–Thursday, with an early Friday close
- Holiday Schedule: Observes Jewish holidays
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
