Job Summary
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and ongoing behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. The PMHNP will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team to support emotional wellness, symptom stabilization, recovery, and overall health.
As a member of the Bridge Integrative Health team, the PMHNP contributes to a patient-centered, evidence-based care environment focused on clinical excellence, accessibility, and whole-person wellness.
Responsibilities
1. Psychiatric Assessment and Evaluation
· Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including psychiatric, medical, social, developmental, and family history assessments.
· Perform diagnostic evaluations and formulate diagnoses in accordance with DSM-5 criteria.
· Assess risk factors, including suicidality, self-harm, substance use, violence risk, and other safety concerns.
· Develop individualized treatment recommendations based on clinical findings and patient goals.
2. Medication Management
· Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with applicable regulations and clinical best practices.
· Educate patients and families regarding medication benefits, risks, side effects, and treatment expectations.
· Monitor treatment response, medication adherence, and overall clinical progress.
· Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing as clinically indicated.
· Utilize evidence-based prescribing practices to support safe and effective treatment outcomes.
3. Clinical Care and Treatment Planning
· Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans that reflect the patient's unique clinical needs and goals.
· Provide ongoing psychiatric follow-up and medication management services.
· Incorporate evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches into patient care.
· Coordinate referrals and facilitate transitions to higher or lower levels of care as clinically indicated.
4. Collaboration and Integrated Care
· Collaborate closely with therapists, nutrition professionals, primary care providers, schools, specialists, and community partners to support coordinated care.
· Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.
· Maintain effective communication with referring providers and community stakeholders as appropriate.

Experience
· Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management services preferred.
· Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families preferred.
· Experience within outpatient behavioral health, integrated healthcare, or community mental health settings preferred.
· Experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and other behavioral health conditions preferred.
Pay: From $95.00 per hour
