Duties
- Supervise daily salon operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members with a focus on employee orientation and training to build a skilled and motivated staff
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, and merchandising to maintain product availability and maximize retail sales opportunities
- Oversee payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems to ensure accurate financial transactions and recordkeeping
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing customers through promotional activities and community engagement
- Provide leadership in team management by supervising staff performance, conducting training & development sessions, and fostering a positive work environment
- Handle customer service inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure clients leave satisfied with their experience
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or service industry settings, preferably within a salon or beauty environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, sales management, pricing strategies, and retail math
- Experience with inventory management systems, POS platforms, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping software
- Leadership qualities with supervisory experience in team management, training & development, and shift oversight
- Ability to handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, store management, and merchandising with attention to detail
- Knowledge of marketing techniques relevant to retail salons or beauty services
