About Us
We're a locally owned Papa Murphy's franchise serving the Reno community with fresh, made-to-order take 'n' bake pizza. No fryers, no drive-thru, no 2 a.m. closes — just a fast-paced, friendly shop where quality food and great service come first. We're looking for a hands-on Store Manager who takes pride in running a tight operation and building a team people actually like being part of.
What You'll Do
- Own the day-to-day operation of the store: opening/closing, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and food and labor cost control
- Hire, train, coach, and motivate a crew of team members and shift leads
- Deliver an excellent customer experience at the counter, on the phone, and through online orders
- Maintain Papa Murphy's brand, food safety, and cleanliness standards (health inspections, food handling, store appearance)
- Track sales, control costs, and drive store performance against goals — your bonus is tied to how the store does
- Handle the practical stuff: cash management, bank deposits, basic equipment upkeep, and vendor coordination
- Communicate openly with the owner — you'll have real autonomy and real support
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of management or shift-lead experience in food service, retail, or QSR (pizza or franchise experience a plus)
- A leader who works alongside the team during the rush, not from the office
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable owning P&L basics: labor %, food cost, waste
- Strong communication skills and a genuinely positive attitude with customers and crew
- Able to pass a background check; ServSafe / food handler certification (or willing to obtain — we'll cover it)
- Open availability including evenings and weekends (we close early — no late nights)
