MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Science and Research Analyst to join our team in Livermore, CA. This is an onsite position.
The Senior Science and Research Analyst will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Sponsor’s system accreditation efforts, to include creating Body of Evidence (BOE) documentation, responding to/implementing/documenting required controls, and completing required tasks/actions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Managing projects, coordinating operational workflows, and performing precise component metrology to ensure mission critical objectives are achieved.

Leading teams of assembly technicians and machinists to reliably deliver precision targets and components according to strict schedules.

Driving process development and improvements while presenting and explaining complex scientific concepts to engineering and technical stakeholders.

Working independently and in coordination with engineering support to characterize, assemble, and test precision components in a fast-paced environment.

Handling valuable and fragile components daily while working from engineering drawings, schematics, and informal sketches to perform quality assurance.

Performing in-process measurements and component inspections, diagnosing equipment or operational issues, and maintaining accurate data recordings.

Acting as a technical resource for colleagues with less experience and facilitating training initiatives across the team.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or Equivalent (6 additional years of expereince) in computer science, business management, IT, or a related scientific/technical discipline

4 + years of relevant experience in a similar role

Demonstrated strong grasp of geometrical concepts with proven experience interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and procedures.

Strong ability to learn, operate, and navigate specialized computer software, microscopes, instrumentation, and metrology equipment.

Proven experience working across cross-functional teams to drive operational goals, manage complex systems, and lead technicians or machinists.

Strong analytical capabilities to solve complex problems by evaluating multiple sources of information within broad guidelines and policies.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in advanced process improvement methodologies and precision metrology techniques.

Demonstrated expertise in formulating mathematical models and conducting logical analysis of complex technical requirements.

Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building consensus and leading projects across technical teams.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE-Q security clearance
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Needs to occasionally move about inside the office or laboratory environment to access machinery, tools, and office equipment.

Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering technical status updates or presentations.

Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
