We are seeking a motivated and dependable OTR Hotshot Driver (1099 Independent Contractor) to join our growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a professional driver who wants the independence of a contractor role while having access to company-provided equipment and support.
Position Overview
As an OTR Hotshot Independent Contractor with Primeset Enterprises LLC, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight throughout the United States while representing our company with professionalism and reliability.
Primeset Enterprises LLC provides the equipment needed to perform the job, including:
- Company truck
- 40 ft flatbed trailer
- Company fuel card
- Comfortable sleeper-equipped truck designed for extended OTR routes
This allows our contractors to focus on safe operations, customer service, and successful deliveries without the need to provide their own truck and trailer.
Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided Hotshot equipment safely and professionally
- Transport freight according to customer and company expectations
- Complete long-distance OTR routes while maintaining delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Properly secure and inspect loads according to DOT regulations and industry standards
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and required documentation
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and company representatives
- Provide timely updates regarding load status, delays, and delivery progress
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment
- Represent Primeset Enterprises LLC with professionalism and reliability
Contractor Requirements
- Previous OTR, Hotshot, flatbed, or expedited freight experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license/CDL qualifications based on equipment requirements
- Knowledge of load securement and flatbed operations preferred
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices
- Reliable communication skills and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage long-distance routes
- Clean driving record preferred
- Willingness to travel and spend extended periods on the road
Compensation & Growth Opportunity
Contractor compensation will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on experience, qualifications, performance, and overall fit with Primeset Enterprises LLC.
All new contractors will begin with a 2-week trial period, which includes:
- Base compensation during the evaluation period
- Performance-based bonus opportunities
- Review of safety practices, reliability, communication, and overall performance
After successful completion of the trial period, the contractor’s base compensation will be increased, with additional opportunities for performance-based bonuses and continued growth within Primeset Enterprises LLC.
