We are seeking a motivated and dependable Roofer Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist skilled roofers and construction professionals in installing, repairing, and maintaining Shale roofing. Your energy and attention to safety will contribute to delivering high-quality results on time and within scope. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in roofing, siding installation, and general construction while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
$25 - $45 an hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems, including shingles, metal roofing, and flat roofs.
- Support the setup of scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses to ensure secure working conditions at heights.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for tasks such as cutting, fastening, and sealing materials.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute projects.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, plywood sheets, and other supplies needed for roofing and siding projects.
- Follow all construction safety regulations including proper use of safety harnesses and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other general construction tasks such as framing, masonry work, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, or restoration work as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or roofing is required. 2 plus years of experience.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Comfortable working at heights while wearing safety harnesses in accordance with construction workplace safety regulations.
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, masonry techniques, welding basics, plumbing support skills, and tile laying is advantageous.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or climbing ladders.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols on the job site; understanding of OSHA standards is beneficial.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in a fast-moving environment.
