Our optometry clinic is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our patient care team. Our ideal candidate has experience working in a medical office, however we will provide on the job training for the right candidate. In this role you are the doctors assistant. The primary tasks are to take medical histories from patients, perform vision and diagnostic testing to prepare the patient to see the doctor. Other duties include training patients on contact lens wear, scheduling and assisting with phone calls. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and be a team player. Skills required include a positive attitude, excellent customer service and attention to detail, willingness to learn, organization and ability to multitask. 36 hours per week average with no nights or weekends.
