Job Summary
We're hiring a Packing and Shipping Specialist to help us get orders out the door correctly and on time. Most of the day is spent pulling stock, checking it against order slips, and getting boxes ready to ship. You'll tape, wrap, and label packages, then stage them for pickup. Mistakes happen when people rush, so we're looking for someone who can move fast without cutting corners. Some shifts are quiet. Others get hectic right before a truck shows up, and you'll need to adjust on the fly. You'll also help keep the packing area stocked and tidy so nothing slows the next person down. It's a role where the day usually goes by fast, honestly.
Responsibilities
- Picking items from shelves to match order tickets
- Boxing, wrapping, and sealing packages for shipment
- Print and attach shipping labels correctly
- Checking weights and dimensions before packages go out
- Keeping the packing station stocked with boxes, tape, and labels
- Sorting incoming supply deliveries when they arrive
- Reporting damaged or missing inventory to a supervisor
- Helping load outgoing shipments onto trucks at the end of the day
Qualifications
- You notice small errors before they become bigger problems, especially when things are moving quickly.
- Staying on your feet and moving around for a full shift is part of the job.
- When two things need attention at once, you're able to handle both without losing track.
- You speak up clearly when something looks off with an order or a label.
- Comfortable using basic computer programs, you can scan items and update shipment records without much trouble.
- Being reliable matters here, since the team depends on shipments going out each day.
- New steps or changes to a process don't throw you off for long.
- You stay friendly and even-tempered with coworkers, even when the packing line gets backed up.
Pay: $25.36 - $30.55 per hour
