Position Summary
The Machine Preparation and Quality Control Technician is responsible for preparing, inspecting, configuring, and packing machines prior to shipment. This role ensures every machine meets Arcobaleno's established quality standards, is accurately configured to the customer’s workorder, and is packaged securely to prevent damage in transit. As the lead person in this process, strong communication and collaboration across departments is essential to keep shipments accurate, on time, and making everything possible.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare, inspect, and configure machines and equipment according to each customer's specific work order design and configuration
● Verify that all parts and additional equipment match the customer's work order before packaging
● Ensure each machine meets Arcobaleno's established quality standards prior to shipment
● Apply basic electrical and mechanical hands-on skills to test and confirm proper machine function
● Package machines and equipment securely to prevent shipping damage
● Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout preparation, inspection, and packing
● Serve as the lead point of contact, communicating and working collaboratively with production, service, shipping, accounting, and engineering teams
● Record inspection results, configuration details, and production data as required
● Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety protocols
Qualifications
● Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
● Basic electrical and mechanical hands-on skills and knowledge
● Ability to read and follow work orders, diagrams, and specifications
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
● Reliable, organized, and able to take ownership as the lead person in the shipment preparation process
Physical Requirements
● Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 70 lbs
● May be exposed to noise, dust, and varying temperatures in a factory setting
● Must wear appropriate protective gear (e.g., safety glasses, gloves) as required by job function
