As we continue to grow our portfolio of residential properties, we are seeking a skilled and dependable full-time Maintenance Technician to join our in-house maintenance team.
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks across a variety of residential properties. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a broad range of hands-on experience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and general repairs, including but not limited to drywall patching, painting, appliance repair, plumbing, and electrical work
- Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergencies
- Complete unit turns, including minor repairs and ensuring all systems are operational before move-in
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas and exterior property features
- Inspect buildings and systems to identify safety issues or needed repairs
- Maintain tools and equipment in working order
- Document all work performed and materials used through property management software
- Provide excellent customer service to residents
Requirements:
- 2+ years of general maintenance experience (residential or multi-family housing preferred)
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work independently and respond effectively in urgent situations
- Familiarity with basic tools and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with residential property maintenance or apartment unit turns
- Basic HVAC knowledge or EPA certification (a plus, not required)
