Through strong operational support, donor stewardship, and event execution, the Development Operations and Events Coordinator directly contributes to the organization's fundraising success and mission impact.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Development Operations and Events Coordinator to lead the planning, execution, and management of a diverse range of events and development initiatives. The Development Operations and Events Coordinator is responsible for managing the systems, data, and processes that support ARRI's fundraising success. This position oversees donor database administration, gift processing, donor stewardship operations, reporting, and event support while serving as a key member of the Development team.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with data and technology, and enjoys supporting fundraising initiatives that help advance ARRI's mission.
Responsibilities
Database & Development Operations
- Serve as primary administrator for ARRI's donor CRM database (Bloomerang).
- Maintain data integrity and establish and maintain data entry procedures and best practices.
- Support day-to-day fundraising operations, donor stewardship, appeals, campaigns, and donor communications.
- Create lists, reports, and data segments for mailings, events, and fundraising initiatives.
- Research and implement tools and strategies that improve fundraising effectiveness and donor engagement.
Gift Processing & Donor Stewardship
- Process and record all donations; track gifts,and donor commitments
- Ensure timely donor acknowledgments, tax receipts, and stewardship communications.
- Respond to donor inquiries regarding gifts, event registrations, and giving history.
- Assist leadership with special donor recognition and stewardship efforts, including the monthly donor program.
Events & Fundraising Support
- Provide operational support for fundraising events, including all funding campaigns, the Bark on the Beach dog walk, the FurBall gala, online auctions, and other special events.
- Manage online registration systems, peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, sponsorship records, and attendee tracking.
- Coordinate event logistics including registration, seating, name tags, auction administration, check-in/check-out, and event communications.
- Provide exceptional guest services during events by addressing attendee inquiries promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our organization’s values.
- Support participant and sponsor engagement before, during, and after events.
Reporting, Analytics & Financial Reconciliation
- Generate reports to track fundraising performance, donor retention, campaign results, and event outcomes.
- Partner with Finance to reconcile donations, event revenue, sponsorships, and fundraising expenses.
- Maintain accurate records to support audits, financial reporting, and organizational planning.
- Provide data analysis and insights to support fundraising strategy and decision-making.
Prospect Research & Pipeline Support
- Conduct prospect research and wealth screening for major gifts, sponsorships, grants, and planned giving opportunities.
- Assist with donor cultivation and moves management tracking.
- Support efforts to grow donor acquisition, retention, monthly giving, and event participation.
Qualifications
- Passion for animal welfare and ARRI's mission.
- 3–5 years of nonprofit development, fundraising operations, event management, database administration, or related experience.
- Experience with donor databases/CRMs; Bloomerang preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Canva, event management software, and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms preferred.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
Physical & Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with flexibility as approved by management.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for fundraising events.
- Ability to assist with event setup, registration, and breakdown activities.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
