Position Purpose
Operates robotic railcar cleaning equipment, including pumps, hoses, hand tools, and power tools. Assists Railcar Cleaners with all aspects of the railcar cleaning process and supports daily operations.
Responsibilities
Performs cleaning duties including, but not limited to:
- Positioning railcars for cleaning
- Hooking up cleaning equipment to tank cars
- Connecting air, steam, and water hoses and operating the cleaning rack
- Assisting with routine inspections, repairs, and general maintenance
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Ensuring all tools and equipment are in proper working condition
- Completing required documentation to support accurate and timely customer billing
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Hands-on mindset; no prior experience required
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and SDS
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to plan work processes
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record preferred
- Must be able to pass drug screening
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 85 lbs from ground level
- Ability to push/pull up to 140 lbs
- Ability to operate equipment such as telehandlers or forklifts
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work on and around railcars, including climbing
- Must pass physical, drug test, and background screening
