Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning to keep grounds pristine and healthy.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with planting, transplanting, watering, fertilizing, and identifying various plant species to promote healthy growth.
- Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules.
- Conduct landscape repairs such as hardscape installation, tree trimming, and snow plowing during seasonal changes.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Support pesticide management activities by applying treatments responsibly and according to regulations when necessary.
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and hand tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to identify various plants and understand basic horticulture principles.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care practices, and snow removal techniques is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence during all outdoor activities.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintaining beautiful landscapes.
