The Janitor is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the department buildings and its grounds. They will be accountable for the completions of assigned duties with minimal supervision. They will interact positively with our members and staff and responds to requests personally or informs the appropriate janitorial staff member.
Responsible for cleaning facilities and grounds area which include duties as but not limited to cleaning and restocking restrooms, kitchen areas, sidewalks, and windows
Cleans, sweeps, dusts, mops, washes, vacuums, polishes, and waxes floors
Collects and disposes of trash from building and grounds
Responsible for ensuring checklist is up to date and recorded for assigned area.
Unlocks/locks (open/close) all doors at the beginning/end of each shift.
Responsible for properly handling various chemicals
Performs unskilled maintenance work including- changing clocks, light bulbs, etc.
Cleans company car.
Moves furniture and equipment.
Responsible for reporting incidents and hazardous conditions to Supervisor.
Notifies Supervisor when housekeeping supplies need re-ordering.
Assist training staff as needed.
Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.
