Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Operate forklift and other material handling equipment safely to move materials efficiently within the warehouse.
- Oversee inventory control procedures using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Lead team members by providing clear instructions, managing workloads, and supporting their development through effective team management and managerial communication.
- Implement process improvements to optimize warehouse operations, reduce waste, and enhance workflow efficiency using lean management principles.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards across all warehouse activities.
- Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, warehouse operations, or distribution center management with a focus on process improvement.
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated experience operating material handling equipment safely.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (IMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation.
- Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to manage personnel effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling techniques, and heavy lifting safety protocols.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and equipment use.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
