Position Summary
The Inventory Manager is responsible for leading inventory control operations across the distribution center and retail network. This role ensures inventory accuracy through effective auditing, reporting, and continuous process improvement. Partnering closely with Operations, Finance, and Retail teams, the Inventory Manager implements best practices, investigates discrepancies, and maintains inventory integrity above 99%.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all inventory control activities, including cycle counts, variance resolution, and monthly NIL (Not In Location) write-offs.
- Lead and develop the Inventory Control Team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with audit standards.
- Act as the primary liaison for Accounting on all inventory-related matters.
- Analyze root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Create, monitor, and improve inventory KPIs and reporting.
- Collaborate with warehouse and retail teams to ensure accurate transfers and receiving practices.
- Maintain and enhance cycle count and audit programs.
- Manage inventory-related systems, including ERP and WMS platforms.
- Implement and train teams on inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate obsolescence reviews and return-to-vendor processes.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in inventory control, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Strong understanding of WMS systems and RF data collection.
- Demonstrated experience with cycle counting, variance analysis, and shrink control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and effective under pressure.
