Job Summary
Roll-Off drivers are responsible for the hauling of construction debris typically from large high volume construction sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial/residential roll-off routes. This position involves mounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truck numerous times each day. Driver is also responsible for scraping and hammering/removing debris from dumpster containers as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Routes may require drivers to navigate through communities and/or tight areas in Omaha and surrounding areas. Backing skills are essential as a large percentage of the time spent servicing customers is done in reverse. Our drivers communicate with customers daily, must comply with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company policies.
Work hours will vary by route. Drivers must have a safe driving record, be able to read and understand a map, complete daily truck inspections and driver logs.
Must have a working phone, email, and access to a printer (drivers are responsible for printing their schedules daily).
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
A) Education & Experience
At least 1-2 years of experience of operating a vehicle requiring a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
B) Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Must have a Class B CDL
Clean driving record
Health Card
C) Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Drivers must have the ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
