Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients during critical situations.
Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients presenting with various medical conditions in the emergency department.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections and IV therapies.
- Perform emergency procedures such as cardiac catheterization, spinal taps, and utilize aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Document patient care accurately in accordance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to emergency care.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of WI.
- Previous experience in an emergency room setting is required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS certification
