Pharmacist / Pharmacist In Charge will be responsibility for the sterile and non-sterile area of the pharmacy, Will direct and monitor all daily operational activities of the compounding department. This position is also responsible for supervising the staff within the department and coordinate all activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision of prescription compounding, dispensing processes and taking care of the patients
- Ensures that all procedures, records, and pharmacy in the sterile/ non-sterile labs are in compliance with all state, federal, and industry standard requirements
- Prepares weekly production scheduling of product and continually makes changes as needed to plan according to the work flow
- Ensures that all equipment, are in compliance with the regulations
- Enforces policies and procedures to ensure safety of the public concerning any action by the pharmacy staff members within the pharmacy
- Ensures the proper storage of all lab materials, including drugs and chemicals
- conducting risk assessments regularly to prevent any potential work hazards
- Ensures that drugs and/or devices are dispensed and delivered safely and accurately as prescribed
- Ensure the appropriateness of dosages, directions, and therapy
- Check for any outdated drugs are,so that they are not dispensed or maintained within the active inventory of the pharmacy, including prescription and related nonprescription items
- follows through with mandates by the company as necessary
- Assist in developing written policies and procedures to establish responsibilities of pharmacy technicians and other personnel in area
- Develops a system to assure that all pharmacy personnel responsible for compounding and/or supervising the compounding of pharmaceuticals within the pharmacy receive appropriate education, training, and competency evaluation
- Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement and provides coaching and mentorship
- Ensures all licensing requirements are up to date per state and federal requirements
- Maintains up to date knowledge on industry trends and technologies
- Performs other job-related duties as required

Experience and Qualifications
- B.S. in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
- Licensed with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- 2+ years of direct experience; compounding, management
