The Packaging Technician supports Visual Inspection of products, secondary and tertiary packaging activities for parenteral products at various stages of development at the Nashville, TN site. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the qualification and start-up of a new manufacturing facility for Aseptic Formulation and Filling to establish a state-of-art manufacturing operation. The Packaging Technician is responsible for performing visual inspection and packaging activities in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Visual inspection of vials, syringes, IV bags and cream containers to identify defects
- Ensure packaging operations meet or surpass the site’s safety, quality, and compliance metrics while adhering to site standards and policies.
- Perform set-up and operations of packaging equipment, such as labelers, carton equipment, and serialization stations, and documentation of activities within the batch record or protocols as needed
- Supports equipment validation, qualification, training, and troubleshooting
- Assist Maintenance personnel with Preventive Maintenance and Calibration activities
- Perform in process testing, which may include SPC and AQL testing
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, investigations, CAPA actions, etc. for packaging area
- Follow relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, etc.
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience working in a pharmaceutical, production, or regulated environment is preferred
- Previous visual inspection, sterile packaging, clinical trial packaging, or related manufacturing experience is preferred
- Good documentation and communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a team environment
- Good interpersonal skills and self-motivated

- Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
1st shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm , Monday - Friday
2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm , Monday - Friday
3rd shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am , Sunday - Thursday
