Pacific Architectural Wood Products is seeking a skilled Industrial Machinery Mechanic to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our production equipment. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery to minimize downtime and support manufacturing operations.

Position Summary
The Industrial Machinery Mechanic installs, maintains, repairs, adjusts, and relocates industrial production equipment. This role supports continuous operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment improvements, and emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain industrial production and processing equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and operational issues.
- Repair or replace defective components and perform machinery disassembly and reassembly as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and equipment testing.
- Respond to equipment failures and production interruptions to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Analyze machine errors and operator feedback to determine root causes.
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repairs or modifications.
- Maintain parts inventory and document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist operators with proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Maintenance preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Proficiency using diagnostic, testing, and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Experience troubleshooting motors, sensors, controls, and PLC-operated equipment preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and work around machinery for extended periods.

- Ability to work safely around moving equipment in a manufacturing environment.
