We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Oversee all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
· Ensure compliance with NAPA policies, procedures, safety standards and loss prevention practices
· Maintain store appearance, merchandising standards and planograms
· Manage cash handling, deposits and basic financial controls
· Drive retail and commercial sales growth
· Deliver outstanding customer service to DIY and professional customers
· Resolve customer complaints and escalations promptly and professionally
· Build and maintain relationships with commercial accounts
· Recruit, hire, train, coach and evaluate store employees
· Create employee schedules and ensure proper staffing coverage
· Foster a positive, productive and team-oriented work environment
· Conduct performance reviews and support employee development
· Manage inventory levels, ordering, receiving and returns
· Monitor shrink and take corrective action as needed
· Ensure accurate pricing, signage and proper placement
· Meet or exceed sales, margin and expense goals
· Review sales reports and key performance indicators
· Implement promotional programs and company initiatives
· Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or GED
· 3-5 years of retail experience (automotive parts preferred)
· Previous management or supervisory experience
· Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems
· Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills
· Valid driver’s license (if store supports deliveries)
· Experience with NAPA systems or automotive retail software
· ASE Parts Certification (or willingness to obtain)
· Experience managing P&L or store level financials
· Leadership and people management
· Sales and business acumen
· Problem-solving and decision making
· Organization and time management
· Computer POS and inventory systems proficiency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts
· Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling and use of hands and fingers to handle, stock and organize merchandise
· Ability to lift, carry, push and pull automotive parts and supplies weighing 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
· Ability to climb ladders or step stools to access or stock inventory
· Ability to operate a computer, keyboard and point-of-sale systems
· Visual acuity sufficient to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and team members in a retail environment
· Ability to work in a retail and warehouse environment with varying temperatures, dust, fumes and noise levels
