Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery is looking for a motivated Patient Service Representative to join our team. Our culture fosters family, purposeful work, individual accountability, and execution. We're looking for a self-starter interested in working in a fast-past and dynamic oral surgery environment to help promote exceptional patient service. This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience and building a positive work environment.
What You’ll Do:

Confirm and update patient identification, demographic, and insurance information.

Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments.

Perform all check-in and check-out functions, including collecting necessary information and payments.

Obtain patient consents/authorizations and process insurance pre-authorizations and referrals.

Answer incoming calls promptly, document messages, and route inquiries to appropriate personnel.

Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments as needed.

Maintain accurate and organized medical records.

Support overall front-office operations and assist with other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
-
Two (2) years of customer service experience, required.

Experience with oral surgery or in a medical or dental practice, preferred.

Knowledge of insurance processes, preferred.

Ability to multitask.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Prolonged periods of sitting.
