Position Overview
The Field Assistant is an entry-level position designed for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and working as part of a team. This role offers the opportunity to learn all aspects of the chimney service and repair industry while assisting experienced technicians in the field.
As a Field Assistant, you may work alongside a Lead Repair Technician on chimney restoration and repair projects or accompany a Lead Service Technician to gain valuable knowledge of inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer service.
What You'll Do
- Assist technicians with chimney repair, restoration, and service projects
- Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures
- Help prepare job sites and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Transport materials and equipment as needed
- Support technicians in diagnosing and solving customer issues
- Work safely on ladders, roofs, and elevated work areas
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with homeowners
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay: $20–$24 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
- Full-time, year-round employment
