Our client, a well-established aerospace engineering and manufacturing organization in the Cleveland area, is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a passion for hardware development and digital circuit design. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a stable, growing organization backed by a Fortune 1000 parent company, where you'll play a key role in developing cutting-edge avionics electronics and test systems for the aerospace industry.
If you're looking for a role where you can own hardware designs from concept through production, spend time in the lab, and solve challenging technical problems, we'd love to speak with you.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of a collaborative engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing advanced electronic hardware used in aerospace applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design analog and digital circuits for new aerospace products and test systems.
- Develop hardware from concept through production.
- Create schematics, oversee PCB layout, and select electronic components.
- Develop and integrate custom electronic test equipment.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex circuit-level issues.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, and other laboratory equipment.
- Support manufacturing by resolving hardware issues and improving product performance.
- Collaborate with software engineering throughout system integration and product validation.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Approximately 3-5 years of experience in electrical hardware design
- Strong experience with digital circuit design (primary focus)
- Experience designing analog circuits
- PCB schematic capture and layout experience
- Hands-on circuit debugging and troubleshooting
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Comfortable supporting products from design through manufacturing
Preferred Experience:
- Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, or similar schematic capture tools
- FPGA development (VHDL or Verilog)
- Embedded programming or software development
- Aerospace, defense, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
Why You'll Want This Opportunity
- Design real-world aerospace electronics—not commodity products.
- Heavy emphasis on hands-on hardware engineering and digital circuit design.
- Opportunity to own projects from concept through production.
- Stable organization with long-term career growth.
- Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
- Collaborative engineering environment working on advanced avionics technology.
