Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in speech therapy, with a focus on pediatric populations. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in children, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth and development for each patient.

- DC Speech Therapy License
- Master's Degree (preferred)
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing challenges in pediatric clients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's specific needs and goals.
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions that incorporate age-appropriate techniques and activities.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and educators to ensure consistent support across environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to pediatrics.
- Support early intervention initiatives by providing services to infants and young children at risk for communication delays.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in school or clinical settings, preferably with school experience.
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for pediatric populations.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess and address diverse communication needs.
- Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing functions.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective intervention strategies.
- Familiarity with early intervention programs and protocols for young children.
